AUSTIN, Texas – In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the documentary “No Way Out But One” will be presented Wed., Oct. 17, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, room TNH 3.125. The event is free.
This presentation is sponsored by the Institute on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, a unit of the Center for Social Work Research, School of Social Work; the Domestic Violence Clinic, School of Law; and Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid.
A brief discussion of the issues raised in “No Way Out But One” will follow the 90-minute screening. These issues include: ethical lawyering, international parental kidnapping, the intersection between family violence and child abuse, and the way courts deal with custody in family violence cases.
