How do I post a position with the center?
Employers can post jobs and internships through our online career platform, Steer Your Career, by simply registering your agency. All posting are reviewed by office staff before approval. See more details about posting jobs and posting internships.
What happens after I submit a position listing to the center?
Your job or internship posting is listed in our employment bulletin platform, Steer Your Career. We also publicize your opportunity to students via our weekly Career Services SPOTLIGHT email listserv bulletin. Interested students will contact you directly per instruction in your listing.
How much does it cost to work with the DiNitto Career Center?
All services to employers are free!
What is community sponsorship?
The DiNitto Career Center seeks community sponsorship for our signature Career Services events, including the Annual Career Toolbox, Speed Interviewing, and Capstone events. Sponsors have the opportunity to showcase their services and employment opportunities to our students. See our sponsorship page for more details.
Can students receive academic credit for their internships?
Students in the Steve Hicks School of Social Work have an intensive field experience requirement. To find out if your volunteer position qualifies for a student to receive credit, please contact the Office of Field Education at ssw-field@austin.utexas.edu or by phone at (512) 471-6207.
