AUSTIN, Texas – University of Texas President Bill Powers has agreed to recommend Dr. Noël Busch-Armendariz, an associate professor in the School of Social Work, for participation in Leadership Texas. Busch-Armendariz is the director of the Institute on Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault, a unit of the school’s Center for Social Work Research.
Leadership Texas brings together female leaders from diverse backgrounds to sharpen skills, expand professional and personal networks, and investigate major issues. Busch-Armendariz will attend sessions in five different Texas cities from February through November 2013.
