Honor a Social Worker You Know – Order your tribute cards by March 31, 2011
“Social Workers Change Futures,” the theme for Social Work Month 2011, sponsored by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), promotes the role of social worker as positive change agent. There are 640,000 professional social workers in the United States who have dedicated their careers to either helping people transform their lives, or improving environments that make such progress possible.
The Social Work Alumni Network (SWAN) at The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work is leading an “Honor a Social Worker” tribute gift initiative for Social Work Month 2011. Make a minimum donation gift of $10 per honoree and SWAN will send a personalized card to a social worker of your choice stating that you have made a gift in his/her honor.
Social Worker Tribute Gifts are available in any amount. All gifts go to the Social Work Alumni Network Scholarship fund given annually to a deserving social work student. What better way to honor those who make a difference everyday, while at the same time helping our future profession of social workers. Social Worker Tribute Gifts may also be given in memory of someone special.
